Upgraded | Canadian Government Funding

The Food Processing Growth Fund (FPG), delivered by the Investment Agriculture Foundation of B.C. (IAF) and administered by the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Food, supports established food-processing businesses in British Columbia. The program is designed to boost local food production and stimulate economic growth by helping companies scale and adapt, reinforcing the strength of B.C.’s largest manufacturing sector.

Funding Amount

General projects: Up to 75% of eligible costs, with a minimum of $100,000 and a maximum of $1 million (training costs capped at $100,000).

Training-only projects: Up to 75% of eligible costs, between $50,000 and $100,000 (minimum total eligible budget: $66,665).

Eligible Applicants

Purchasing and installing new or expanded facilities, infrastructure, and equipment.
Adopting new technologies like software, advanced automation, or artificial intelligence (AI).
Conducting applied R&D for new/improved products, lab work, and packaging.
Training that supports the adoption of new infrastructure or technologies.
