The IRAP Youth Employment Program (YEP) was created to provide financial support for hiring young Canadian post-secondary graduates. Graduates can be employed in various areas, ranging from business development and technical roles to customer service and administration.

Funding Amount

The Youth Employment Program (YEP) supports the hiring of young talent by offsetting employment costs. The goal is to young Canadians get career skills, find good jobs, and remain employed. YEP provides up to $30,000 per graduate for a period of 6 to 12 months.

Eligible Applicants

For businesses:

Must be incorporated and financially stable.
Must be a Canadian company with fewer than 500 employees.
Willing to collaborate with NRC IRAP.
Responsible for recruiting graduates before applying.

For youth applicants:

Must be a post-secondary graduate.
Must be between the ages of 15 and 30.
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
Must be a first-time participant in the YEP program.

This program offers post-secondary graduates the opportunity to engage in both technical and non-technical roles related to technology projects. The activities eligible for funding include:

Research and Development.
Market analysis for new technology-based products.
Business development in technology and science fields.
Multimedia projects.
Improving customer service.
Engineering projects.
