Grant application requirements:

1. Name of the researcher or research team applying for the grant.

2. Contact information (email, phone number, address) of the researcher or research team.

3. Proposed project title.

4. Abstract or summary of the proposed project.

5. Detailed description of the research plan, including the specific objectives and methods.

6. Justification for why the ABCD Study dataset is appropriate and valuable for the proposed research.

7. Research timeline, including estimated start and end dates for the project.

8. Budget information, including a breakdown of how the grant funds will be used.

9. Any additional funding sources or support for the proposed research.

10. Description of the expected outcomes and potential impact of the research.

11. Description of how the research will contribute to increasing knowledge of adolescent health and development.

12. Any prior experience or expertise of the researcher or research team in conducting similar research or using large datasets.

13. Any ethical considerations or potential risks associated with the proposed research.

14. Any necessary permissions or approvals required to access and use the ABCD Study dataset.

15. Plans for dissemination of the research findings, including any publications or presentations.

16. Any collaborations or partnerships with other research institutions or organizations.

17. CV or resume of the researcher or principal investigator.

18. Letters of support or recommendation from other researchers or institutions.

19. Any additional supporting documentation or materials relevant to the application.

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
