Registration - Identify Participants and Summary of Research Proposal: Registration involves listing all project participants under "Identify Participants" and submitting CIHR Registration CVs through Canadian Common CV (CCV). Additionally, provide a concise research proposal summary within one page.
Peer Review Administration Information: At your discretion, suggest capable reviewers for your application.
Apply to Priority Announcement/Funding Pools: Optionally, you can select funding pool(s) for eligibility. It's important to note that IA funding in the general pool doesn't require selection. You have the flexibility to choose a funding opportunity title and relevant research areas, with the option to pick up to three pools.
Full Application - Identify Participants and Proposal Information: In the full application stage, ensure you list all participants adhering to eligibility rules. Submit Biosketch CVs using CCV. Address the evaluation criteria explicitly in your Research Proposal. Notably, proposals in French are allowed extra pages (8 pages for English and 10 pages for French).
Budget Information: Provide a comprehensive budget justification, including consideration of potential data access fees.
Attach Application Materials: Attach your "SGBA Certificate" as proof of completing the sex- and gender-based analysis training module. Attach the "Proof of Access" for non-CLSA data sets, if applicable. Optionally, include a publication list highlighting a maximum of 10 relevant publications. For projects involving Indigenous-identified data, describe your engagement and support plans.
Supplemental Application Information: Complete and upload the anonymized CLSA Data Request Application.
Peer Review Administration Information (mandatory): Suggest qualified reviewers for your application.
Apply to Priority Announcement/Funding Pools (optional): Choose relevant funding pools. If you're an Early Career Researcher aiming for the ECR pool, indicate your eligibility clearly.
Signature Pages: Obtain signatures from all applicants and the authorized institution representative. Upload scanned and signed pages, along with the Routing Slip, via the Print/Upload Signature Pages task on ResearchNet prior to submitting your application.

CanExport SMEs

Amount of Funding

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

CanExport SMEs

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
