List of required information for application:
1. Administrative Core: Provide a description of the proposed administrative core, including the organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, and overall management plan for the Center without Walls.
2. Medicinal Chemistry Core: Describe the proposed activities for the medicinal chemistry core, including the development of new compounds, improvement of existing ligand specificity and selectivity, and strategies for optimization of ligands.
3. Clinical Core: Outline the proposed activities for the clinical core, including the first-in-human testing of radioligand formulations and the coordination of clinical studies.
4. Scientific Governance Structure: Describe the scientific governance structure of the Center without Walls, including the roles and responsibilities of key personnel, decision-making processes, and mechanisms for collaboration and communication.
5. Research Projects: Include a minimum of two research projects with milestone plans that address workflows for screening of ligands against human ADRD tissue and animal models. Provide detailed descriptions of the proposed research projects, including objectives, methods, and expected outcomes.
6. Synergy among Center Research Projects and Cores: Explain how the research projects and cores within the Center without Walls will work together to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the grant. Provide evidence that successful completion of the aims could not be accomplished without the Center structure.
7. Alignment with National Plan to Address Alzheimer's Disease: Describe how the proposed activities align with the challenges outlined in the 2016 update to the National Plan to Address Alzheimer's Disease. Explain how the Center without Walls will contribute to addressing these challenges and advancing the field of Alzheimer's disease-related dementias research.
8. Budget: Provide a detailed budget that outlines the requested funds for each core and research project. Include a budget justification that explains the need for each requested expense and how it supports the proposed activities.
9. Timeline: Present a timeline that spans the duration of the grant and includes key milestones for each core and research project. This timeline should demonstrate a clear plan for progressing from in vitro and in vivo optimization to first-in-human studies.
