List of required information for application:

3. Research Scope: A description of the area of research within the scope of the NINDS mission should be provided. The proposed research should be bold, impactful, and challenging, addressing important questions in neuroscience.

4. Interdisciplinary Approach: The application should outline how the research approach will be interdisciplinary in nature. It should describe how different disciplines will be integrated to address the research objectives and achieve the common goal.

5. Collaborative Goal: The research teams should establish a common goal that requires collaboration, synergy, and managed team interactions. The application should clearly describe this goal and its significance.

6. Research Plan: A cohesive, well-integrated research plan with a singular focus should be developed. The application should outline the specific aims and objectives of the research, including the methodology, experimental design, and data analysis approaches.

7. Budget: A detailed budget without subprojects should be provided. The application should outline the anticipated costs for personnel, equipment, supplies, and other necessary resources for the duration of the project.

8. Transformative Objectives: The application should include transformative objectives with defined 5-year outcomes. These objectives should highlight the potential impact and innovation of the proposed research.

9. References: A list of relevant references and citations should be provided to support the scientific basis of the proposed research.

10. Other Supporting Documents: Any additional supporting documents, such as letters of collaboration, biosketches of key personnel, or institutional support letters, should be included as required by the funding opportunity announcement.

CanExport SMEs

Amount of Funding

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

CanExport SMEs

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
