To complete the application, the following information will be required:

2. Abstract: Write a summary of the project objectives, methods, and expected outcomes.

3. Project Description: Describe the goals, significance, and innovation of the proposed statistical methods. Explain how they will enable analysis of data from the human Developmental Genotype-Expression (dGTEx) and non-human primate (NHP dGTEx) projects. Also, highlight any plans to assess genetic variation on development, compare gene expression across tissues and time points, leverage comparative genomics, or integrate with existing tissue and cell atlas efforts.

4. Applicant Information: Provide contact details and affiliations for the principal investigator and any collaborating investigators.

5. Research Plan: Outline the specific aims, methodology, and timeline for the project. Detail the statistical techniques, tools, and software to be used.

6. Budget: Prepare a detailed budget that justifies the requested funds and outlines how they will be utilized for personnel, equipment, supplies, and other project expenses.

7. Facilities and Resources: Describe the facilities, equipment, and other resources available for the project.

8. Letter(s) of Support: Include letters of support from any collaborators, institutional sponsors, or other relevant parties.

9. Biographical Sketch: Provide a biographical sketch for the principal investigator that highlights their qualifications and relevant experiences.

10. Previous Funding: List any previous funding received by the principal investigator for related research projects.

11. Human Subjects/Animal Welfare: Explain any involvement of human subjects or animals in the research and provide any necessary documentation and assurances of compliance with ethical guidelines.

12. Data Sharing Plan: Outline the plans for data management, sharing, and preservation to ensure broad accessibility and usability by the scientific community.

13. References: Include a list of relevant references cited in the project description.

CanExport SMEs

Amount of Funding

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

CanExport SMEs

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
