1. Name of the early-career physician-scientist or dentist-scientist applying for the grant.

2. Contact information (address, phone number, email) of the applicant.

3. Medical or surgical specialty or dental specialty of the applicant.

4. Description of the applicant's training and experience in aging or geriatric-focused research.

5. Proposed research project title.

6. Detailed research proposal outlining the objectives, methods, and expected outcomes of the project.

7. Budget request, including itemized costs and a justification for each expense.

8. Timeline for the proposed research project, including start and end dates.

9. Description of how the pilot data and experience from this project will contribute to future aging research projects.

10. Letter of support or endorsement from a mentor or senior researcher in the field of aging or geriatrics.

11. Curriculum vitae or resume of the applicant, highlighting relevant qualifications and research experience.

12. List of publications or presentations related to aging or geriatric-focused research.

13. Any additional supporting documentation or references that may strengthen the application.

14. Agreement to comply with all applicable regulations and requirements for conducting clinical trials, if applicable.

15. Certification of eligibility for the grant, including confirmation of early-career status and medical or dental specialty training.

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
