3. Statement of interest and goals for pursuing postdoctoral training in Kidney, Urology, or Hematology research

4. Description of research experience and expertise in relevant disciplines (engineering, statistics, data science, imaging, biochemistry, genetics)

5. Explanation of how the proposed research aligns with the focus areas of Kidney, Urology, or Hematology research

6. Proposed research plan and methodology

7. Timeline for completing the predoctoral and postdoctoral phases of the award

8. Letter of recommendation from a mentor or advisor

9. CV or resume of the applicant

10. Budget proposal outlining the funding needs for the predoctoral and postdoctoral phases

11. Compliance with the requirements of the Funding Opportunity Announcement, including the prohibition on proposing to lead an independent clinical trial

12. Confirmation of eligibility for the F99/K00 award (not already involved in K, U, or H research)

13. Documentation of contact with the NIDDK Program Official prior to application submission

14. For applicants proposing research experience in a clinical trial led by a sponsor or co-sponsor, a description of the clinical trial and the role of the applicant.

CanExport SMEs

Amount of Funding

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

CanExport SMEs

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
