Upgraded | Canadian Government Funding

To apply for the NCCIH Multi-Site Feasibility Clinical Trials of Mind and Body Interventions grant, applicants will need to provide the following information:

1. Project title: The title of the proposed clinical trial.

2. Research team: Names, affiliations, and roles of all investigators involved in the study.

3. Background and significance: A clear and concise explanation of the need for the proposed research, including references to relevant literature and previous feasibility trials.

4. Objectives: Specific aims and goals of the proposed clinical trial.

5. Study design: A detailed description of the study design, including the intervention being tested, randomization procedures, and data collection methods.

6. Multi-site approach: Explanation of why a multi-site trial is necessary and how it will improve the generalizability and impact of the research.

7. Preliminary data: Provide evidence of sufficient preliminary data from previous single site feasibility or acceptability trials, or from the published literature, to justify the need for a multi-site trial.

8. Feasibility assessment: Description of how the proposed trial will assess the feasibility of intervention delivery, participant recruitment and retention, and data collection across multiple sites.

9. Data analysis: Plan for analyzing the data collected during the trial to fill gaps in scientific knowledge and prepare for a future fully powered multi-site trial.

10. Public health impact: Explanation of how the proposed research has the potential to make a significant impact on public health.

11. Contact information: Provide contact information for the appropriate NCCIH Scientific/Research contact related to the area of science for which the application is being developed.

CanExport SMEs

Amount of Funding

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

CanExport SMEs

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
