NICHD Research Education Programs (R25 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

List of Required Information for Application:

1. Project title and description: Provide a clear and concise title for the project and a detailed description of the proposed research education program, including its goals, objectives, and expected outcomes.

2. Project team: Identify and provide background information on the individuals who will be involved in implementing and/or leading the research education program, including their qualifications, expertise, and role within the project.

3. Target audience: Describe the specific target audience for the research education program, including their level of education, background, and career stage. Explain how the program will address the unique needs and challenges of this audience.

4. Research skills development focus: Clearly articulate how the proposed program will enhance research skills development among the target audience. Provide a comprehensive overview of the specific research skills that will be covered and the methods or activities that will be used to facilitate skill development.

5. Program design and delivery: Describe the structure and format of the research education program, including the duration, frequency, and location of the activities. Explain how the program will be delivered (e.g., in-person, online, hybrid) and provide a detailed timeline of the proposed activities.

6. Evaluation plan: Outline an evaluation plan for assessing the effectiveness and impact of the research education program. Describe the methods that will be used to collect data, measure outcomes, and evaluate participant satisfaction. Explain how the results of the evaluation will be used to improve and refine the program.

7. Budget and budget justification: Provide a detailed budget that accurately estimates the costs associated with implementing and delivering the research education program. Itemize the various expenses, such as personnel salaries, materials and supplies, travel, and administrative costs. Justify each budget item and explain how the requested funds will be used to support the program.

8. Institutional support: Demonstrate institutional support for the research education program by providing a letter of commitment from the applicant's institution. This letter should confirm the availability of necessary resources, such as facilities, equipment, and personnel, and express the institution's commitment to supporting the program.

9. Previous experience: Highlight any previous experience or successful track record in conducting research education programs, particularly those focused on research skills development. Provide evidence of past accomplishments and outcomes, such as participant testimonials or publications resulting from previous programs.

10. Dissemination plan: Describe how the results and findings of the research education program will be disseminated to a broader audience. Outline any plans for publishing research articles, presenting at conferences, or sharing
