NINDS Institutional AD/ADRD Research Training Program (T32 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

Required information for application:

1. Name and description of the proposed institutional research training program in Alzheimer's Disease/Alzheimer's Disease-Related Dementias (AD/ADRD)

2. Plan for producing well-trained neuroscientists with research skills and scientific knowledge in AD/ADRD cognitive impairment and dementia

3. Design of the program to enhance breadth and depth of training across AD/ADRD research areas (AD, VCID, LBD, FTD, mixed dementias)

4. Incorporation of didactic, research, and career development components into the program

5. Support for basic, clinical, and/or translational research

6. Formal components to ensure understanding of experimental design, statistical principles, methodological approaches, analytical skills, and communication of science

7. Opportunities and activities to foster quantitative literacy and the application of quantitative approaches in research

8. Duration of the training program (expected to be 2 years)

9. Target groups for training: dissertation stage predoctoral students in their 3rd and/or 4th year of graduate school, postdoctoral fellows, and fellowship-stage clinicians

10. Confirmation that first or second year graduate students are not supported under this FOA
