To apply for the OJJDP FY 2023 Juvenile Justice Emergency Planning Demonstration Program for Juvenile Justice Residential Facilities grant, applicants will need to provide the following information:

1. A description of how the proposed project/program will integrate and sustain meaningful youth and family partnerships

a. Explanation of individual-level partnerships in case planning and direct service delivery

b. Explanation of agency-level partnerships in policy, practice, and program development, implementation, and evaluation

c. Explanation of system-level partnerships in strategic planning activities, system improvement initiatives, advocacy strategies, and reform efforts

2. Details on how the applicant plans to facilitate continued meaningful engagement with family and other supportive members of the youth's community in emergency planning efforts

a. Examples of establishing or utilizing an existing advisory group that includes family members and/or youth who have resided in the facility

b. Explanation of the involvement of advisory group members in drafting and reviewing emergency planning procedures, including evacuation strategies and ongoing notification and communication procedures

3. A clear plan for emergency planning for state, local, and Tribal juvenile justice residential facilities

a. Detailed strategies for ensuring the safety and well-being of youth residing in residential facilities during emergencies

4. Alignment of the proposed program with OJJDP's goals to Treat Children as Children, Serve Children at Home, With Their Families, in their Communities, and Open Up Opportunities for System-Involved Youth

a. Explanation of how the proposed program aligns with these priorities

5. Information on the organization or agency applying for the grant

a. Name and contact information of the organization or agency

b. Background and experience relevant to the proposed project

c. Previous experience working with youth-serving systems or related programs

6. Budget information

a. Detailed budget plan for the proposed project, including funding requests and allocation

7. Evaluation plan

a. Outline of how the proposed program will be evaluated for effectiveness and impact

8. Any additional supporting materials or documentation relevant to the application and proposed project.

CanExport SMEs

Amount of Funding

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

CanExport SMEs

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
