Identifying Participants: List all participants in the "Identify Participants" task, meeting Eligibility criteria. All participants should be included in the Participant Table under "Attach Other Application Materials."
Key Participants and CVs: Provide CV for up to 10 key participants. Key participants include those required per Eligibility; collaborators aren't key participants. Canadian academic applicants need a CIHR Biosketch CV.
Applicant Profile CVs: Knowledge users, non-academics, Elders/Knowledge Holders, PWLLE, organizations, and international applicants can use CIHR Biosketch CV or Applicant Profile CV (max three pages). Include how they'll contribute, roles/positions, knowledge contributions, and other relevant info.
Indigenous Organization CV: For NPA categories requiring Indigenous-led non-governmental organizations, include organization description, mandate, keywords, research engagement, and other pertinent info.
CV Submission: Submit Biosketch CVs via Canadian Common CV (CCV) interface. Upload Applicant Profile CVs as PDFs, labeled as "Applicant Profile CV – Name (organization or individual, as applicable)."
Most Significant Contributions (Optional): Applicants (excluding Collaborators) can provide context on their significant contributions relevant to the grant application, demonstrating their role.
Proposal Information: Research Proposal outlines Evaluation elements to address Objectives of the initiative. French proposals have extra pages due to language space difference (7 pages English, 9 pages French).
Appendix Attachments for Proposal: Charts, references, tables, figures, and photos can be uploaded under "Attachments – Research Proposal Appendix."
Summary of Research Proposal: Summarize research proposal within one page.
Budget Information: Provide detailed budget justification for planned activities, including cash/cash equivalent contributions. Include costs for CRISM Coordinating Centre annual event collaboration. Include release time allowance letter if applicable.
Other Application Materials: Attach mandatory documents under "Other"

CanExport SMEs

Amount of Funding

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

CanExport SMEs

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
