Operating Grant: Network Environment for Indigenous Health Research Centre - Development Grant

  1. Identifying Participants - List participants in the "Identify Participants" task, ensuring adherence to eligibility. If an organization is the Nominated Principal Applicant (NPA), attach a "Personal CV" (maximum two pages) as an "Other" document, outlining the organization's mandate and its eligibility as an Indigenous entity. No Common CVs are required.
  2. Proposal Information Entry - Attach your full Activity Description as the Research Proposal in the "Attachments" subtask. Address all evaluation criteria. For French proposals, extra pages are allowed to accommodate language differences, limited to 4 pages for English and 5 pages for French submissions. Additional content can be uploaded under "Attachments – Research Proposal Appendix." Budget Information Entry - Upload the complete budget and supporting documents as a single attachment. The attachment should contain a detailed budget with: Justification for requested amount, including planning activities, community personnel costs, and travel; All sources of revenue (cash, in-kind contributions); Detailed expense breakdown, distinguishing CIHR-covered and other-source-covered costs; Additional supporting documents like quotes can be included. For release time allowance requests, include an organization-certified letter for justification.
  3. Attachment of Other Materials - Under "Other," attach the following: "Indigenous Health Research" description (mandatory) - Self-identify as Indigenous or provide evidence of involvement with Indigenous Peoples (up to 5 pages); Applicant Partner COI Document (if applicable) - Describe partner roles and risk/conflits (max 1 page); Organization CV (if applicable) - Describe organization mandate and eligibility (max 2 pages); Participant table - List all applicants (including Collaborators) with affiliations and roles. Identify Elder/Knowledge Holder; Optional Letters of Support - Encouraged but not mandatory, they can describe specific contributions from partners.
  4. Peer Review Administration (Optional) - Suggest reviewers with suitable expertise for your application's peer review.
  5. Access Management (Optional) - The Nominated Principal Applicant (NPA) can delegate access to five individuals for support. Delegate access doesn't continue between stages.
  6. Print Signature Pages - Signature requirements: Nominated Principal Applicant's signature not needed for ResearchNet submissions; Signatures required for other applicants (except Collaborators) and individuals with signing authority; Scanned signed signature pages and the Routing Slip should be uploaded in the Print/Upload Signature Pages task in ResearchNet before submission.
