3. Description of the project or program that will be implemented.

4. Explanation of how the project will provide sexual risk avoidance education.

5. Description of the target population for the project.

6. Explanation of how the project will address areas with high rates of teen births and/or high risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections.

7. Goals and objectives of the project.

8. Description of how the project will empower participants to make healthy decisions.

9. Description of the tools and resources that will be provided to prevent pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and other risky behaviors.

10. Plan for using medically accurate information from peer-reviewed publications.

11. Explanation of how the project will implement evidence-based curricula and/or strategies.

12. Explanation of how the project will align with the needs and desired outcomes for the intended audience.

13. Description of how the project will teach the benefits associated with self-regulation, success sequencing for poverty prevention, healthy relationships, goal setting, resisting sexual coercion, dating violence, and other youth risk behaviors.

14. Description of how the project will address youth risk behaviors such as underage drinking or illicit drug use without normalizing teen sexual activity.

15. Detailed program plan, including timeline, budget, and evaluation methods.

16. Any additional supporting documents or references.

CanExport SMEs

Amount of Funding

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

CanExport SMEs

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
