Required Information for Application:

1. Name of the eligible entity or organization applying for the grant

2. Contact information of the eligible entity or organization (address, phone number, email)

3. Description of the proposed urban agriculture project or innovative production activities

4. Location of the proposed project within Tennessee

5. Duration of the project (one to two years)

6. Amount of funding requested from NRCS for the project

7. Description of how the project will establish pollinator, urban, and/or community gardens

8. Explanation of how the project will address hunger, health, and beautification within the community

9. Eligibility confirmation for the entity or organization based on the criteria provided

10. If applicable, description of any previous experience or success in similar projects

11. Assurance of compliance with IRS 501(c)(3) status regulations, if applicable

12. Estimated budget for the project and how the grant funds will be utilized

13. Proposed timeline for project implementation and expected outcomes

14. List of any partners or collaborators involved in the project

15. Confirmation of understanding and agreement to the key dates and timelines provided in the grant announcement

16. Required documents, such as certifications, licenses, permits, or other legal requirements for implementing the project

17. A copy of the entity's or organization's most recent financial statement or audit report (if applicable)

18. Any additional information or supporting documents relevant to the project or the eligibility of the entity/organization.

Up to 50% funding to a maximum $50,000 grant per project;
Applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs for up to $10,000 to $50,000 in grant funding per project;
The applicant is responsible for the remaining 50% of costs;
The annual CanExport contribution maximum is $99,999 (in the event of multiple projects approved in the same government fiscal year);
A group of related companies cannot receive >$200,000 in funding in a single fiscal year. Projects budgets should be between $20,000-100,000; and
Applicants can apply for funding multiple times as long as their prior CanExport application has been completed all reporting is finished.

To be eligible for the CanExport program, Canadian businesses must:

Maintain 1 to <500 full-time employees;
Earn annual revenues ranging from $100,000 to $100,000,000;
Be federally incorporated federally or classified as a limited liability partnership (LLP);
Create eligible project expenses of $20,000 or more; and
Be financially stable and able to pay all project expenses not covered by the program.
